NATIONAL ENTREPRENEUR COMPETITION

A STUDENT ENTREPRENEUR’S CHANCE TO WIN $10,000!

If you are an entrepreneur attending a Canadian university or college full time, or you know someone who is, now is the time to submit your nomination for the 2010 National Student Entrepreneur Competition, operated by ACE and proudly presented by CIBC.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

The competition process is an incredible experience for any student entrepreneur looking to grow as a business owner, expand their company and learn from successful entrepreneurs that volunteer their time as judges for each round of competition. Benefits include:

• Cash prizes ($1,000 prize for regional champions and a $10,000 prize for the national champion)
• Valuable media exposure locally, regionally and nationally
• New and exciting marketing opportunities
• Opportunity to network with business professionals and successful entrepreneurs
• The opportunity to meet with and learn best practices from other young entrepreneurs

WHO IS ELIGIBILE?

To be eligible to enter this competition, a nominee must:

• Be a full-time undergraduate and/or graduate student at a Canadian university or college for the 2009/10 academic year;
• Be a founder and have at least 50% ownership of the company and be principally responsible for its operation;
• Have been in business for at least the past six months (as of December 4, 2009); and
• Have not competed in the final round of the National Student Entrepreneur Competition in the past.
